Within Golden Gate Park’s Gardens of Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Garden offers multiple ways to visit free. Admission to all three gardens (including the Tea Garden) is free for San Francisco residents, veterans, Museums for All participants (EBT card holders), and Gardens members. In addition, everyone—regardless of residency—enjoys free admission to the Japanese Tea Garden from 9–10am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
